Topic Description: Although capital punishment is still practiced around the world, recent action by the UN and efforts of human rights activists have led to the abolition of the death penalty in dozens of countries. The purpose of this committee will be to examine whether capital punishment should be abolished and, if so, what alternatives could replace it.

Erin Koh
Erin Koh is a junior at Evergreen Valley High School. She has been doing MUN for over three years, and has attended conferences internationally. She started participating in MUN while living abroad in China, and has continued ever since. Erin is currently the co-president of the MUN club at her school. In addition, she enjoys singing, playing the violin, and traveling. |

Josie Ertl is a Senior at Stevenson High School in Pebble Beach. She has been a member of Model UN clubs since she was in middle school. Over the past two years she has served as one of the co-heads for Stevensons MUN team. In her free time Josie enjoys reading, playing sports, and spending time with friends. |
