In light of recent controversies over extraneous violence and abuse of power by police forces, this committee aims to establish standards regarding the need for and use of military-grade weapons in police forces around the world.

Christopher Gardner
Christopher is a senior at The Kinkaid School. He has been attending MUN conferences since sophomore year and is honored to have the opportunity to serve as co-chair of the DISEC committee on the role of military-grade weapons in police enforcement. Outside MUN, Christopher is the cofounder of Snapshot International LLC and is spending the summer focusing on leveraging these experiences to help form the charitable organization Technology 4 Equality. |
Steven Luo
Steven Luo is a junior at Evergreen Valley High School. Although he has only been participating in MUN for a year, he's won several awards, while also competing in Varsity Public Forum debate. He particularly enjoys getting food and boba after committee sessions finish. Steven is currently the co-president of his school's MUN club. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the flute and piano, listening to music, and volunteering. |
