Los Gatos Model United Nations is a Bay Area MUN Conference hosted by Los Gatos High School in Los Gatos, California. Held on October 17th, LGMUN offers novice and experienced delegates alike the opportunity to practice their diplomacy and solution-making skills early on in the school year in preparation for larger conferences in Northern California and beyond in the winter and spring.
Having attended various conferences across the country, the LGMUN team recently has ventured into hosting our own conference. We are doing this to give others a great experience, but we also understand that a conference should be enjoyable. One of our main goals in this conference is to allow delegates to learn about world policy while also keeping things interesting for everyone involved.

What Makes LGMUN Special?
There are a variety of reasons LGMUN stands out from other conferences, but just a few are listed below.
1. Online setting. Because our conference is online, it is easier for delegates from across the Bay Area and across the country to attend inexpensively. This means that this conference can be more accessible to delegates that cannot travel easily. View our COVID-19 Information Page for details.
2. Free to Attend. Because of the online format of LGMUN 2020, we have been able to remove most costs and therefore we can remove registration fees. Details are available on our Registration Page. Also, the lack of a required Position Paper makes the conference more accessible as a more laid back, stress free event.
3. The timing is key. This conference is at the very beginning of the 2020-2021 MUN season, and it is positioned to be a warm-up event where newcomers can learn and more experienced members can practice their MUN skills.
